Smoke Evacuates West Haven High School: UPDATE

WEST HAVEN, CT — In an update, school officials say the students have returned inside West Haven High and are safe. The precautionary evacuation was due to a mechanical issue in a science storage room, officials said.

(Original post) WEST HAVEN, CT — West Haven High School has been briefly evacuated due to a report of smoke near the cafeteria, according to police.

Both the West Haven Police and Fire departments are on the scene.

Police said students were briefly evacuated but will be allowed back in shortly.
