Southern CT Gas Relocating To West Haven, North Haven, Bridgeport
Southern Connecticut Gas's parent company will relocate employees and operations from Orange to West Haven, North Haven, and Bridgeport.

WEST HAVEN, CT — Southern Connecticut Gas's parent company will relocate employees and operations to West Haven, North Haven, and Bridgeport, according to a news release.
Parent company Avangrid Inc. is selling the SCG headquarters in Orange, a news release from the City of West Haven states.
Frank Reynolds, president of Avangrid subsidiary UIL Holdings Corp, said about 130 SCG field operations employees will move to the West Haven, Bridgeport, and North Haven areas. About 85 office employees will move the new office space on Frontage Road in West Haven.

West Haven city officials say Avangrid signed a lease for part of the former Sears Outlet at 190 Frontage Road in January 2020. The relocation will take place mid-2022, according to the news release.
West Haven Mayor Nanci R. Rossi said Avangrid is a "good fit" for the city.
