State Police ID 4 Killed In Wrong-Way Crash On I-95
State police have identified four people killed in a wrong-way crash early Sunday morning on Interstate 95 in West Haven.
WEST HAVEN, CT — State police have identified four people killed in a wrong-way crash early Sunday morning on Interstate 95 in West Haven.
According to an accident summary provided by state police, troopers responded to I-95 southbound near Exit 42 around 1:30 a.m. after a Chevrolet Silverado pickup that was traveling in the wrong direction struck a Nissan Altima head on while in the left lane.
After hitting the Altima, the truck entered the center lane and struck a Nissan Sentra head on, state police said.

The driver of the Chevrolet was killed in the crash, according to state police. He was identified as Kyle Thomas Bulkley, 26, of New Haven.
All three occupants of the Nissan Altima were also fatally injured in the crash, according to state police. The driver was identified as Husein Alili, 25, of Wolcott, and the passengers were identified as Jolie Cierra Lubin, 23, of Trumbull, and Samantha Pearl Birchard, 22, of Norwalk.

The driver and passenger of the Nissan Sentra, both New York residents, were also seriously injured as a result of the crash, according to state police. They were taken to Yale New Haven Hospital by an ambulance.
All southbound lanes of I-95 were closed for several hours following the crash, according to police.
The crash is under investigation by the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Squad, police said.
