Stop & Shop Unveils Newly Remodeled West Haven

Today, neighborhood grocer Stop & Shop unveiled its newly remodeled store in West Haven, Connecticut, located at 460 Elm Street. The updates are centered around delivering fresh, healthy, and convenient options that make grocery shopping easier for the local community, just in time for the festivities of Labor Day weekend.

The new features at the West Haven store include updated produce, meat, and seafood departments with expanded product offerings to provide even more options for customers. The West Haven community will also enjoy more convenient additions including more grab-and-go meal solutions, fresh sushi, a new flatbread pizza station, a new cake section for celebrations and everyday enjoyment, and more deli and entertaining options. The updated store now features newly expanded Kosher and multicultural sections to better serve and celebrate the diversity of the West Haven community. Customers who visit the newly unveiled during the grand reopening weekend will enjoy product samples, free giveaways and a slice of celebratory cake, while supplies last.

Labor Day Weekend marks the end of summer and the start of back-to-school. As students begin to return to the classroom, one in seven children in Connecticut are food insecure*. To lessen the burden on families and students so they can prioritize learning, Stop & Shop also announced today at the Grand Reopening celebration its donation of $12,500 to Bailey Middle School to aid in the expansion of their in-school food pantry. The Bailey Middle School Stop & Shop School Food Pantry is one of over 130 school food pantries that Stop & Shop supports.

The West Haven store continues to offer Same Day Pickup, providing local customers with a faster and more convenient way to shop with pickup available in as little as four hours. Customers can place an order on the Stop & Shop® mobile app, or visit www.stopandshop.com, click on “Order Online '' and select “Pickup” at the West Haven store. Customers can then head to the store and have a Stop & Shop associate load their groceries right into their car. Customers can enjoy $10 off orders over $60.
