Student Arrested For Making Threats Against School: West Haven PD

Police say the student made threats against a magnet school in West Haven.

WEST HAVEN, CT — A 14-year-old male student has been arrested after police say he made threats against the school and staff of a magnet school in West Haven. Police responded to the Engineering and Science University Magnet School, located at 500 Boston Post Road, at about 8:40 a.m. on Wednesday.

Teachers alerted police that a student reported seeing and hearing another student making threats against the school and staff while displaying firearm pictures, according to police.

Police said the student was removed from school and arrested.

“The daily operation of the school was not interrupted and no further incident remained,” police said in a post on Facebook.

The 14-year-old student was arrested and charged with breach of peace. Police said no further information can be released due to the student’s age.
