WEST HAVEN, CT — Students were briefly evacuated from West Haven High School on Friday morning due to an “odor of gas,” according to school officials.

All students, who were moved into the ice rink or pool building, were safe, according to a post on the school district’s Facebook page at about 9:20 a.m.

The West Haven Fire Department responded and deemed the building safe. All students are back inside the building, officials said in an update.
