West Haven Police responded after a threatening message was found written on a bathroom wall and conducted a sweep of the building.

WEST HAVEN, CT — Bailey Middle School on Morgan Lane was briefly evacuated after a threat toward the building was found written on a bathroom wall on Wednesday morning.

West Haven Police responded to the scene and gave the “all clear” after conducting a sweep of the building around 10 a.m., according to school officials.

After assessing the written message, police did not feel the threat level was high but it was “still prudent to do an evacuation and sweep of the building and take precautions,” school officials posted on Facebook.
