West Haven 2022 Primary Elections: Candidates, Polling Places, Hours

Registered Democrats and Republicans will head to the polls Tuesday for a primary election to determine the candidates for state races.

WEST HAVEN, CT — Registered Democrats and Republicans will head to the polls Tuesday for a primary election to determine the candidates for state races in November.

In West Haven, the Democratic primary will determine the party’s candidates for secretary of the state and state treasurer for the Nov. 8 election. Voters in the 116th Senatorial District will also select a candidate for state senator.

In the 116th District, incumbent Democratic state Senator Treneé McGee is facing a challenge from Joseph Miller. McGee, the party’s endorsed candidate, won the special election in December to fill the vacant seat in the state's 116th House District following the resignation of Michael DiMassa in October.
