The single biggest issue in town is ______, and I plan to do this about it:
Quality of Life
I intend to see to the needs of our citizens with a "Golden Rule" approach. I will always put ALL the people first. In recent years we have seen an increase in Blight, Property Crime, Stagnant Economic growth and General Malaise. This has occurred simultaneously with Rising Taxes, Less City Services and lack of public trust.
Accessability, and Accountability and Transparency will be my Keystones.
Critical differences between me and my opponents:
I am a 23 year resident of the 3rd District, married to a Lifelong Westie. We have owned a home here for most of our adult lives and raised 2 daughters here. My being an outsider to the political machine here, and with deep roots to the city makes me uniquely qualified to represent the diverse constituents of the 3rd District. My life experience will lend itself well to accomplish longterm results.
Accomplishments:
My past work experience working with diverse stakeholders like engineering, design, and manufacturing and union labor allow me to facilitate compromise and teamwork to achieve high standards.
Other issues:
Completion and Success of "The Haven" shopping destination
Fiscally and Environmentally Responsible Development of our Waterfront
Quality of Life of our most vulnerable residents (Aging, Mental Health/Addiction, and Children)
Government Transparency and Civic Engagement
What else would you like voters to know about you?
I am a firm believer that West Haven has the potential to be a "Gem on the Sound" With all our diversity working together as onewesthaven we can achieve anything.
