West Haven Man Charged With Child Pornography Possession: Feds
Authorities said the man was found to have videos of child sexual abuse stored on his Google account.
WEST HAVEN, CT — A West Haven man faces a federal child pornography charge after child sexual abuse videos were found on his Google account, according to authorities.
Adam C. Salgado Jr., 30, has been charged by federal criminal complaint with possession of child pornography, U.S. Attorney for Connecticut Vanessa Roberts Avery and Michael J. Krol, Special Agent in Charge of Homeland Security Investigations, New England, announced Wednesday in a joint news release.
According to court documents, a cloud-based storage company that provides services for wireless customers made multiple CyberTipline reports to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that a user, subsequently identified as Salgado, had videos of child sexual abuse stored on the account.

Authorities said subsequent investigation found that Salgado’s Google account also contained images and videos of child sex abuse.
Salgado was arrested June 5 in San Antonio, Texas, where he recently resided. He appeared in New Haven federal court on Wednesday and was released on a $100,000 bond, according to officials.

Possession of child pornography carries a maximum term of imprisonment of 20 years, officials said.
