West Haven Man On Scooter Fatally Injured: New Haven Police
A victim ID has been released by police.
NEW HAVEN, CT — A West Haven man riding a scooter was fatally injured after a crash Friday night, New Haven police said.
At 9:33 p.m., police responded to the 200 block of Ella T. Grasso Boulevard for a report of a man in the roadway, police said.
Police found a man suffering from significant injuries, police said.

The man was later pronounced dead. Police said it appears the man was riding a Razor-style scooter, but officers are investigating to determine what occurred.
The victim has been identified as Hector Aponte, 43, of West Haven.

Police ask that anyone who may have witnessed the crash or has information call detectives at 203-946-6304.
