West Haven Man Stole $500K In Flooring, Materials: North Haven Police
Police said the man, who worked as a subcontractor for a local flooring company, is accused of stealing flooring materials for several years
NORTH HAVEN, CT — A West Haven man is accused of stealing nearly $500,000 worth of flooring and materials from a North Haven business, according to police.
Jhon Escobar, 47, was arrested Wednesday on a warrant.
Police said an investigation found that Escobar, who was a sub-contractor for a local flooring company, was “stealing a large quantity of flooring materials over the course of several years.”

North Haven detectives obtained a search warrant for a New Haven address, where police said close to $500,000 worth of flooring and materials were found and seized.
Escobar was charged with first-degree larceny. He was released after posting a $50,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court, according to police.
