West Haven Man Stole $800 In Beauty Supplies: North Haven Police
Police say the public assisted with identifying the suspect who stole $800 worth of items from a beauty store in North Haven.

WEST HAVEN, CT — A West Haven man is accused of stealing $800 worth of items from a beauty store in North Haven last December. North Haven Police thanked the public on social media for their assistance with making an arrest in the case. Police said that in December 2017, a suspect ran out the door of the Ulta Beauty Store with $800 worth of items.
“The man fled the area prior to police arrival,” North Haven Police said Monday in a post on Facebook. “We posted a picture of the suspect to Facebook and Twitter, and within one day someone identified him.”
Police obtained an arrest warrant and Mark McGilton, 53, of West Haven, was taken into custody on Feb. 26. He was charged with the larceny and held on a $5,000 bond, according to police.
