West Haven Man Tried to Sell Stolen Dirt Bike in Milford: Police

Milford police say the bike was found at a local business.

MILFORD, CT — A man is accused of trying to sell a stolen dirt bike, police said.

On Oct. 29 police responded to a New Haven Avenue business on a report of a stolen dirt bike being found, police said.

Investigation led to the arrest of Beno Green, 30, of Lester Street in West Haven, who claimed he had purchased the dirt bike a week prior from an unknown person in Bridgeport and was now trying to sell it himself, police said.

The dirt bike was found by the original owner on a website used to buy and sell items, when the owner confirmed it was his dirt bike he contacted Milford police, police said.

Green is charged with third-degree larceny and released on a promise to appear in Superior Court, Milford on Nov. 22.
