West Haven Mayor Urges Women 40 & Up To Get A Mammogram
Officials recently received a tour of the Yale-New Haven Hospital Mammography Van in the West Haven City Hall parking lot.

WEST HAVEN, CT — (Pictured): From left, Yale New Haven Hospital mammography technologists Elizabeth Sorensen and Coretha Thomas give Mayor Nancy R. Rossi, Health Department intern Paulina Lopez and Health Director Maureen B. Lillis a tour of the YNHH Mammography Van in the parking lot of City Hall on Nov. 29.
Flanking the van’s digital mammography machine, Rossi, a champion of breast cancer awareness, encouraged women 40 and older to get a yearly mammogram, a low-dose X-ray to examine breast tissue and check for breast abnormalities. The van includes a comfortable waiting area and a private changing and exam room.
