Based on executive orders issued by Gov. Ned Lamont, and with assistance from City Hall resources, she said the commission can now hold meetings online, with people participating by logging in by computer or calling in by phone.
“The commission has been concerned that applications have been submitted months ago and we have been unable to review them,” Hendricks said. “By moving forward now, we are hopeful we can keep businesses going in West Haven.”
Mayor Nancy R. Rossi agreed, saying, “It is time for us to move forward with this aspect of the city’s business.”
The July 14 agenda contains two main items: the continuation of a February hearing for an application to continue a used car dealership at 456 Derby Ave., and the hearing of a proposed text change application by the commission to define the approval process for applications within the Center’s newly established Village District.
