West Haven Prevention Council Youth Group

Hey Westies! We're looking for motivated, dedicated and ambitious students in grades 9-12 to join and form our Youth Group. The mission of our youth group will be to focus on youth substance use (alcohol, marijuana, tobacco/vaping and prescription medication) prevention and promote mental health. This will be a new group, so the opportunities (i.e. tabling, campaigns, podcasts speaking engagements) are endless! We will provide volunteer hours for time attended. The objective of the West Haven Prevention Council is partner with local organizations, agencies, individuals, schools and the police department to provide prevention education and resources to youth, parents and local community members about the risks associated with substance use (alcohol, tobacco/vaping, marijuana and prescription medication) as well as mental health.To learn more about the West Haven Prevention Council visit www.PreventionWestHaven.org
