West Haven Resident Arrested After Fight At Trumbull Mall: Police

Officers also found a loaded handgun and a bag of marijuana inside a discarded fanny pack at the mall, according to police.

TRUMBULL, CT — A fight that broke out at the Westfield Trumbull mall late Tuesday afternoon led to the arrest of six men, including a West Haven resident, according to police.

In a news release, Police Lt. Brian Weir said officers were initially called to the mall around 4 p.m. to investigate several reports of an armed robbery.

When officers arrived at the mall, they learned a group of men had been involved in a fight in the lower level area of the mall near Macy's, during which they attacked a man then who pulled out a gun and pointed it at his attackers, Weir said.

The group fled the area before police arrived but were later found by officers.

According to Weir, the following men were involved in the fight:

  • Pedro Diamond, 22, of Trumbull
  • Chase Dralle, 19, of Trumbull
  • Jeremy Romero, 23, of Stamford
  • Tremayne Ferguson, 21, of West Haven
  • Isaiah Johnson, 22, of Trumbull
  • Derrick Rivera, 18, of Bridgeport

All six men were arrested and charged with breach of peace, Weir said.

Additionally, officers learned Rivera had discarded a fanny pack near the Macy’s upper level walkway as he fled from the area. When officers located the fanny pack, they found a loaded .22 caliber pistol and a bag of marijuana inside, Weir said.

Rivera was also charged with first-degree threatening, reckless endangerment, carrying a pistol without a permit. He was held on a $10,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court later this month.

The other five men were each held on a $500 bond and are scheduled to appear in court later this month, Weir said.
