West Haven Resident Killed In Crash On Interstate 84 In Tolland

TOLLAND, CT — A West Haven man was killed in a single-car crash on Interstate 84 in Tolland early Thursday morning, state police said.

The crash took place at 5:11 a.m.

A 2011 Buick Regal driven by 24-year-old Conor Pickering, of West Haven, on the westbound side of the highway, according to a crash report. The car was in the right lane when it skidded off the pavement into the right-hand shoulder area, according to a crash report.

It then hit a tree, according to a crash report.

Pickering was transported by Tolland ambulance to Rockville General Hospital, with serious injuries and was pronounced dead a short time later, state police said.
