West Haven Resident Named GNAC Baseball Player Of The Week

WEST HAVEN, CT — West Haven’s Sean Jefferson, a junior on the Albertus Magnus College baseball team, was named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Baseball Player of the Week, officials announced Tuesday.

Jefferson, a West Haven High School graduate, played a pivotal role in Albertus Magnus’ three GNAC wins last week.

Jefferson posted a 1.875 OPS for the week, going 6-for-12 at the plate with six RBIs, three runs scored, two home runs, a triple and a double.

The highlight of Jefferson's week came in Albertus’ opener against Rivier University, when he hit two solo home runs in a 16-2 home win for the Falcons.
