West Haven Resident Named Honor Attendant For 2026 Greater New Haven St. Patrick’s Day Parade

The Greater New Haven St. Patrick's Day Parade Committee recently announced the queen and honor attendant for the upcoming parade.

WEST HAVEN, CT — West Haven resident Meghan Waterfield has been named the 2026 Honor Attendant for the Greater New Haven St. Patrick’s Day Parade.

Caroline Pfaff has been named as the 2026 Parade Queen, the Greater New Haven St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee in partnership with the New Haven Gaelic Football & Hurling Club recently announced.

Pfaff and Waterfield will now represent the committee at dozens of public appearances, fundraisers and be featured in the 2026 Greater New Haven St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Sunday, March 15.

To be considered for this honor, contestants must submit an application that requires two essays, be interviewed by a panel of judges and participate in an on-stage Q & A session. The Parade Queen was crowned at an event sponsored by the New Haven Gaelic Football & Hurling Club.

Honor Attendant Meghan Waterfield is the daughter of Caryll and Gregory Waterfield. She resides in West Haven and her ancestors hail from Counties Kildare, Offaly, Meath, and Armagh Ireland. She is employed by Yale New Haven Hospital as an Interventional Radiology Technologist. Meghan is a 2023 graduate of Sacred Heart University. Her personal ambition is to make a positive impact on her community through service, to inspire young people to reach their full potential, and to uplift others through her work in healthcare. She is a member of the West Haven Irish American Club.

Parade Queen Caroline Pfaff is the daughter of Kara Roxbee and Timothy Pfaff. She resides in Madison and her ancestors hail from Counties Cork, Donegal, Kildare, and Mayo, Ireland. She is employed by the Westport Public Schools as an eighth-grade Special Education teacher. Caroline graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2024 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Special Education and went on to earn her Master’s degree in Educational Psychology in 2025. She is actively involved with Unified Sports, which directly reflects her personal ambition to advocate for inclusion and create meaningful opportunities for all students and athletes. Caroline enjoys skiing playing soccer and is a passionate UConn Women’s Basketball fan. Caroline is deeply committed to philanthropy through organizations such as Girls on the Run. Caroline is a member of the New Haven Gaelic Football & Hurling Club.
