West Haven Woman Breaks Into Liquor Store: Milford Police
Police said the accused stole cash and merchandise from the local business.
MILFORD, CT — A West Haven woman, Melinda Hine, 47, of Anderson Avenue is accused of breaking into a local liquor store and stealing merchandise and cash, Milford police said. She is also accused of causing $5,000 worth of damage to the business, police said.
On Monday, Hine was arrested on a warrant for an incident that occurred back on Jan. 19, police said. Hine is accused of breaking into 149 Welches Point Road, Longo’s Wine and Liquor, and stealing more than $2,900 worth of merchandise, $830 from the cash registers, and causing over $5,000 worth of damage, police said.
Hine is charged with third-degree burglary, conspiracy to commit third-degree burglary, third-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit third-degree larceny, first-degree criminal mischief and conspiracy to commit first-degree criminal mischief.
