17-Year-Old Easton Resident to Play Sugar Plum Fairy in The Nutcracker Ballet
Easton resident Emma Kelly will perform the role of Sugar Plum Fairy with the Greenwich Ballet Academy.

Easton resident Emma Kelly will perform the role of Sugar Plum Fairy with the Greenwich Ballet Academy for the 2015 production of “The Nutcracker” at the White Plains Arts Center.
The Greenwich Ballet Academy’s 2015 Nutcracker production draws from its own students for all of the casting.
Marisol Rivera Thurman, President and Chairman of the Board for Greenwich Ballet Academy said:
“It is remarkable to see our 16 and 17 year-olds brilliantly perform the parts of Snow Queen and Sugar Plum, usually reserved for guest professional dancers in other schools’ productions. One of our former Sugar Plums now dances for the Paris Opera Ballet. I believe seeing children who are their peers perform at such a high level is powerful and inspiring for the young people in our audiences.”
The Greenwich Ballet Academy’s Nutcracker will be performed on Saturday, Dec. 5 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., and Sunday, Dec. 6 at 2 p.m. Tickets may be purchased online at www.greenwichballetacademy.org. For more information call (914) 305-4377.
