Garbage Truck Crash Injures 3 In Weston
First responders found a two car motor vehicle accident involving a garbage truck, with wires down in the roadway, making it impassable.
WESTON, CT — Three motorists were hospitalized following a crash in the area of 232 Newtown Turnpike Tuesday afternoon.
Crews from the Weston Volunteer Fire Department, Weston EMS, and the Weston Police Department were dispatched to the site at 4:12 p.m. First responders found a two car motor vehicle accident involving a garbage truck, with wires down in the roadway, making it impassable.
Emergency workers shut down the turnpike between Michael’s Way and Godfrey Road West. EMS crews transported three victims from to an area hospital for further treatment, according to a report from Weston Fire.

Firefighters and emergency service crews from the Connecticut Department of Transportation and Eversource remained on scene for several hours to help with traffic control and fluid spill mitigation.
