Acoustic Love with Open Road!
Joyful music and harmony delivered with love, join us for a relaxing evening in one of Westport's most intimate venues, the Seabury Center.

Music has always connected us and the community at large. And so is the case for Open Road. Four musicians (sometimes five with guest singers or players) who share a love of collaboration and harmony. Scott Weber, a Wilton resident founded Acoustic Wilton back in 2009 to play it forward for his community. Those concerts became well known in town for including so many of the high school student musicians. Many went on to incorporate music into their college education. This kind of community involvement resonated with Sue Broudy, a Weston resident who likewise was inspired and founded Acoustic Weston in 2011 to produce quality concerts featuring local student and resident professional musicians promoting the art and joy of acoustic music. Concert proceeds always went right back into the community. Down the music road Nancy Burger, a Redding resident found Sue on bandmix.com which is a website that connects musicians. They met and formed Broudy & Burger, an acoustic duo and played out locally. They invited Scott to join them on guitar for some of these concerts and Open Road was organically formed over time as they started writing original lyrics and music together. All of their music is inspiring and easy to listen to. This collaboration got the attention of James Allen, a New Milford resident, who sometimes recorded with Nancy, who is a teacher and percussionist. He also performs in a group called Wykeham Consort. The magic and connection of music, community and friendship has launched an acoustic band that is joyful about sharing their music. Please join us for a showcase concert on February 6th, 2016 at the Seabury Center at 7:00pm. The Seabury Center is on 45 Church Lane, to the left of Holy Christ & Trinity Church in downtown Westport, parking is in back of the building (that houses their preschool in the basement). $10 at the door, open seating.
