Alternative Healing Modalities at the Mark Twain Library
The Mark Twain Library to host a three-part series on alternative healing modalities.

The Mark Twain Library will host a three-part series on alternative healing modalities. The three techniques to be explored are Rolfing, Reflexology and Reiki.
On Thursday May 2nd at 7:30 pm, local practitioner Yoni Hormadaly LMT will introduce and give a live demonstration of the Rolf Method of Structural Integration. Rolfing is a unique therapy designed to improve the relationship of the structure of the human body to gravity. This translates to feeling lighter, freer, younger, more open and more alive. Yoni states “the secret is in how we relate to gravity.”
On Wednesday May 8th at 7:30 pm experience reflexology and learn the stories the feet can tell. When we are stressed, ancient modalities such as reflexology help return the body to homeostasis or balance. Deby Goldenberg, an accredited reflexologist from the International School of Reflexology, will share the theory behind reflexology and how we can better care for our feet and ourselves. Learn to free yourself and step into renewed balance.

Reiki is a spiritual healing art with Japanese origins. The word Reiki comes from the Japanese word (Rei) which means “Universal Life” and (Ki) which means “Energy.” The Lubins will demystify the art of Reiki and give a demonstration to highlight the benefits of the practice.
