Fire Breaks Out At Weston Home

WESTON, CT — Firefighters quickly extinguished a small fire outside a Weston home Friday evening, according to the Weston Volunteer Fire Department.

Crews were dispatched to 27 Blue Spruce Circle at about 6:35 p.m. on May 22 for a reported residential structure fire, the department said.

Upon arrival, firefighters found a small fire on the exterior of a garage that was quickly extinguished, officials said. Firefighters then remained on scene to perform overhaul operations and confirm the fire had not spread into the residence.

The Weston Volunteer Fire Department said 27 firefighters responded to the scene. Weston police also assisted during the incident.

Mutual aid crews from Georgetown, Wilton and Westport were also dispatched but were canceled while en route, according to the department.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Weston Fire Marshal’s Office, officials said.
