WESTON, CT — Weston officials are reminding residents they can escape the heat at several town buildings as a heat wave continues across Connecticut.
The Weston Office of Emergency Management said the Weston Public Library, Weston Senior Center and Weston Town Hall are available as cooling centers during their normal business hours.
Officials said they will continue monitoring conditions and provide updates as needed.
Residents are encouraged to stay hydrated, limit strenuous outdoor activity during the hottest part of the day and check on older neighbors, relatives and others who may be more vulnerable to extreme heat.
