WESTON, CT — Weston police are advising motorists to use caution along a section of River Road after heavy rainfall caused erosion near the roadway.
According to the Weston Police Department, the erosion occurred along the one-way section of River Road following the significant rainfall two weeks ago.
Police said River Road remains open to traffic, and the town's Highway Department has placed barriers around the affected area while emergency repairs are coordinated.
Officials said the roadway is being monitored regularly, particularly during periods of heavy rain, as the town works on a permanent repair.
Motorists are urged to use caution, obey traffic control devices and allow extra space around the barriers when traveling through the area.
