EASTON, CT — A report of two people possibly carrying a firearm prompted a police response in Easton Tuesday afternoon, but officers said no weapons were found.
Easton police responded around 4:10 p.m. Aug. 18 after receiving a complaint about two men entering the woods in the area of Center Road near Old Sow Road, according to the department.
The person who contacted police believed they may have seen a firearm, police said.
Officers quickly located the two people described in the report. No firearms were found, according to police.
"There is no concern to public safety," the department said in a public safety advisory.
