WESTON, CT — Weston voters will decide several state and federal races in the Nov. 3 general election, along with three proposed amendments to the town's charter.
The ballot includes contests for governor, Congress, state Senate, state House and other statewide offices. Residents will also be asked to consider changes affecting political party representation on town boards, the annual budget approval process and other provisions of the Town Charter.
Early voting began Oct. 19 and continues through Nov. 1.
Here's what Weston voters need to know ahead of Election Day.
Governor And Lieutenant Governor
U.S. House — 4th Congressional District
State Senate — 26th District
State House — 135th District
Secretary Of The State
State Treasurer
State Comptroller
Attorney General
Judge Of Probate
Registrar Of Voters
In addition to choosing candidates, Weston voters will decide whether to approve three proposed amendments to the Town Charter.
Question 1: Political Party Representation
The first question asks whether to change the limitation on majority-party representation on town boards and commissions from a bare majority to the maximum number allowed under Connecticut law.
A "yes" vote would approve the proposed change, while a "no" vote would retain the existing charter provision.
Question 2: Annual Town Budget Meeting
The second question concerns the Annual Town Budget Meeting's authority to reduce or eliminate individual budget items before the budget goes to a townwide referendum.
A "yes" vote would eliminate that authority, sending the budget directly to voters for approval or rejection without those changes at the meeting.
A "no" vote would retain the existing provision.
Question 3: Remaining Charter Amendments
The third question asks voters to approve the remaining amendments recommended in the Charter Revision Commission's final report, dated July 13, 2026, and approved by the Board of Selectmen on July 23.
The ballot does not list each of those changes individually.
Residents can review the proposed charter and supporting documents through the Town of Weston's Charter Revision Commission page.
