Barlow Football Falls To Bethel, 43-28

Alex Lockwood scored three touchdowns for the Falcons, who dropped to 2-4

Alex Lockwood scored three touchdowns for the Barlow football team Friday, but it wasn't enough as the Falcons suffered a 43-28 home loss to Bethel.

Lockwood was electrifying in the first half, scoring on long runs of 63 and 49 yards to give Barlow (2-4) a 14-6 lead.

After Brandon Schmidt and Andre Hayles scored on TD runs of 61 and 16 yards for the Wildcats (4-2), Lockwood broke loose again, this time for 58 yards to pull the Falcons within 22-21 at the half.

But Bethel put away the contest over the final 12 minutes on Thiago Lanes' 1-yard TD plunge and Schmidt's 51-yard scamper.
