Barlow Softball Routs Immaculate, 20-3
Morgan Bonis tosses a two-hitter for the Falcons, who improve to 5-0

The Joel Barlow softball won its fifth straight game to start the season with a 20-3 rout of Immaculate of Danbury in an SWC contest on Friday.
The Falcons' bats were lively in support of Morgan Bonis two-hit performance. Bonis (2-0) allowed three runs - one earned - while striking out 12 with two wild pitches in going the distance.
Victoria Shea went 3-for-4 at the plate with two doubles, two runs scored and two RBI while Katherine Acocella was 2-for-3 with double, two sacrifices, a walk and four RBI.

The battery of Bonis (2-for-3 with a double two runs scored and two RBI) and co-Captain Sonia Giorgio (2-for-3, two runs scored and an RBI) also contributed to Barlow's potent attack.
The Falcons held Immaculate in check for the first three innings, but the hosts combined two hits and Barlow errors to reach Bonis for three runs late in the game before the defense and Bonis settled down to complete the victory.

Freshman Ally Grimes (single and run scored) and Junior Kate Marshall (single and an RBI posted their first hits of the year for the Falcons.
