The single biggest issue in town is ______, and I plan to do this about it:
Today, the most important issue is returning a sense of trust, integrity and transparency to local government. In the past few years, too many people have abandoned facts and have withdrawn into their political cocoons. We need talk openly, honestly, and truthfully and sincerely with all of the people so that they will hear responsible and factual information from which they can make sound decisions.
Critical differences between me and my opponents:
No one running for the Board of Selectmen has more experience than I do. I have always been a voice for common sense and have always shown the ability to work with everyone and listen to everyone.
Accomplishments:
Just during the current term of the board, I led the celebration of our town's 175th anniversary, I led the four person group that re-wrote our ethics ordinance, I voted to preserve 19 acres along the Mill River on the property know as South Park Avenue, I voted to join the Westport Weston Health District, and I voted to purchase the development rights to a large local farm insuring that the property will never be developed.
Other issues:
I have always been an outspoken advocate for our public educational system, our seniors, for responsible land use and preservation, and for enhancing our recreational facilities and programs. I have a record of working in a bipartisan and collegial manner with my colleagues.
What else would you like voters to know about you?
Just as I have in the past, I will be a loud and clear voice for what I believe is in Easton's best interests. Whether you agree with my policy positions or not, you will know where I stand, and you will see me in the fight to get things done.
