'Business Supports the Arts' Awards Nominations Due

Nominations for the Cultural Alliance of Western Connecticut’s annual Business Supports the Arts Award are due Friday, Aug. 14.

The alliance seeks to recognize business leaders and volunteers who have made an impact in their communities by supporting the arts and culture.

This year’s event will take place from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. Oct. 15 at the Matrix Conference & Banquet Center, 39 Old Ridgebury Rd.

According to a release from the organization, three awards are given each year to individuals and businesses in communities the alliance serves: Bethel, Bridgewater, Brookfield, Danbury, New Fairfield, New Milford, Newtown, Ridgefield, Redding and Sherman.
