Celebrate America's 250th anniversary with an evening of live music, food trucks and fireworks at Weston's annual "3rd of July" celebration.
Hosted by Weston Parks &amp; Recreation, the family-friendly event will feature live entertainment throughout the evening, food vendors and a fireworks display at dusk.
Schedule:
• 4:30 p.m. — Gates Open • 5:30 p.m. — Westport Community Band • 6:30 p.m. — Owen Daniel • 7:30 p.m. — Fake ID • Dusk — Fireworks Display
Food trucks scheduled to attend include Tony Pizza Napalatano, Los Poblanos, Lucky Dog, The Roaming Rooster and Skips Ice Cream.

An afternoon of pin trading fun!
Pin trading is a popular hobby where people come together to exchange collectible pins.&nbsp;
This event focuses on Disney Pins - bringing the tradition of collecting and trading souvenir pins of your favorite characters and attractions from Disney theme parks to Connecticut! However, there are no restrictions on other collections, so join us for a great way to interact with other collectors and acquire unique finds!
Entrants will have access to our giveaway, opening trading board, and all pin trading activities! Some of our vendors will also be selling Disney merchandise and handmade creations.&nbsp;
If you wish to reserve a table in advance, there will be a $30 fee. You can contact thedisneypinventory@gmail.com to reserve a table. If you have any concerns with finance or special needs, please let us know and we will always do our best to accommodate.&nbsp;

Cool off with Sunday Soundscapes! On July 12 at 4 pm the Davis Guitar Duo brings us soothing music from around the world, performed in their beautiful arrangements. Mark is a Grammy-nominated artist, and together with his talented wife, Beverly. he has performed in France, Spain, Germany and Austalia. This musical team delivers an ensemble that is elegant and expressive!

The Davis Guitar Duo at Weston Library July 12 4 pm

The Redding Historical Society's annual Rock 'N Roots Music Festival returns for its 10th year with live music, food trucks and a fireworks display.
The family-friendly event will take place at Lonetown Farm Museum on Saturday, July 18. Attendees can enjoy an afternoon and evening of live entertainment, local food vendors and fireworks to cap off the celebration.
Live music begins at 4 p.m., with fireworks scheduled for 9:30 p.m.

Club on the Go Youth Programming is available for up to 10 children aged 4 to 14.
While parents enjoy an evening of music and dancing at The Granite, kids can join Club on the Go from the Boys &amp; Girls Club of Redding-Easton (BGCRE) for a fun-filled experience of games, arts &amp; crafts, STEM challenges, creative projects, and more! Their caring staff will keep children engaged, active, and entertained in a safe and welcoming environment—making it a great night for the whole family.
The event will be staffed by two BGCRE Senior Youth Development Counselors, who are certified in CPR/First Aid and trained in BGCA safety protocols. Please purchase a childcare ticket below and include your child’s age. (Food will not be served. Please ensure any food you pack is nut-free.)

Engaging exhibits for all at the Weston History &amp; Culture Center this Spring &amp; Summer In the Visitors Center: Sarah Treadwell: Connecticut Mom, American Patriot: Honors a local woman who supported her family’s active role during the American Revolution, highlighting the often-overlooked contributions of women during the period. Local Patriots &amp; Loyalists of the American Revolution: Learn about those who were for and against the Revolutionary War in this exhibit that features people from the Weston/Fairfield, Wilton/Norwalk and Ridgefield. In the historic Coley Barn: Weston at Work: Come explore the history of agriculture, manufacturing, and textile production in Weston and Connecticut in the new, interactive exhibit, “Weston at Work”. Children can card wool, weave on a loom, use a rope and pulley to raise a hay bale and more!
In the Historic Coley House: Guided Tour - Life in the 1940s:Take a guided tour of the award-winning Coley House, the only historic house in CT brought back to reflect life during the 1940s. Explore how the Coley family lived, worked and played while on the home front during World War II. Stroll through the Daniel E. Offutt, III Sculpture Garden on our glorious 3.7 acre property.

Join us for a special and rare performance celebrating the Grateful Dead’s beloved 1981 live acoustic double album Reckoning, performed by "Faded Is The Crimson", an All-star band led by guitarist JD Seem (of Faster Things – Allman Brothers Tribute). The lineup includes Doug Marino (of Laughin' Bones and Alligator bands) on keys and vocals, Barry Blumenfeld on guitar and vocals and Rob Fried on bass and vocals (both of CT Grateful Dead Allstars and Bone Dry bands) and Hans Broecking (Fuzz and Friends, Shell Shockt)) on drums and vocals. Faded is The Crimson performs only a few times year at select venues and we're excited to host one of their rare performances at "Music aT The Barn" This special lineup will gather to revive the spirit of those intimate 1980 shows—stripped-down arrangements, sweet harmonies, and that unmistakable Dead warmth for an unforgettable night!
