Clifford Larson, Former Easton Resident, Passed Away

Interment will be private in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Fairfield.

Clifford Larson, age 82 of Hamden, formerly of Easton, passed away Sunday, July 19, 2015 at the Connecticut Hospice, Branford.

Born July 22, 1932 to the late Sigurd and Bertha (Rostin) Larson in Jamaica, New York, Clifford spent his childhood years in Manchester, New Hampshire. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. For over 35 years he worked in hospital financial management. Clifford was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

In addition to his devoted wife of 60 years, Marilyn, survivors include his three cherished children, Laurie Stone and her husband Randy of Easton, Jane Larson of Stamford, Eric Larson and his wife Jennifer of Fairfield, and three grandsons, Patrick Stone of Easton, Paul Stone of Easton and Sean Larson of Fairfield.

In addition, he is survived by his brother Richard Larson and his wife Betty of North Charleston, SC. Clifford enjoyed tennis, hiking, photography, and for many years had a private pilot’s license. He was also an avid NY Yankees fan. Above all, Clifford cherished the time he spent with his family.

Friends may greet the family Thursday, July 23, 2015 from 5-7 p.m. in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield. Interment will be private in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Fairfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson’s Disease Research Foundation, 1359 Broadway, Suite 1509, New York, NY.
