Create a Pop Art Collage @ the Easton Public Library

New York-based artist Michael Albert will teach patrons his creative collage techniques on Tuesday, July 14 @ 3:00 p.m.

Join us for this family program with New York based artist Michael Albert. Participants of all ages are invited to join us to create their own collage in the style of Albert’s creative works. “Albert’s collages are a lot of fun. We want people to come and let their creative juices flow,” said Lynn Zaffino, Assistant Library Director and Head of Youth Services. Participants are asked to bring paperboard food boxes such as from cereal, cake mixes, granola bars, etc. The Library has some boxes, but additional ones would be helpful.

Albert has been creating ART since his college days at New York University, where he studied business. His art has evolved from doodles and Pen & Ink sketches, to serious wax oil drawings, to the cubist mosaic cereal-box collages for which he has become known. In the past several years he has created large scale “Epic” collage works including historical, biblical, literary, musical, lyrical, botanical, mathematical & geographical themes.

REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED and can be done online at http://tinyurl.com/EPL-PopArt; by emailing Kymberlee Powe at kympowe@eastonlibrary.org or Lynn Zaffino at lzaffino@eastonlibrary.org; or by calling the Library at 203-261-0134.
