REDDING, CT — The CT STEM Foundation will be hosting its annual science fair at Joel Barlow High School on Saturday, Feb. 8, from noon to 1:30 p.m. The event brings together over 250 students from across the state in a celebration of science, technology, engineering, and math.

The students will exhibit original research, experiments, and other projects for a panel of local judges, competing for a chance to win a scholarship to cover college expenses. The event has grown over the last decade from 11 students presenting in someone's garage to attracting more than 250 participants from the whole of Connecticut.

Awards will be given across Behavioral Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Health and Medicine, Physical Sciences, and Team projects. Each category has four place winners (1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th). This totals to 20 awards but for each of these categories, students are evaluated separately for completed projects and research proposals, so 40 awards are given to students. Over $8,000 is
