Town Hall will be closed in observance of New Year’s Day on Monday January 1st and will reopen January 2nd.

Next week our children return to school and we all go back to work. Hopefully it has been a nice holiday break for everyone. It has been a quiet week in Town Hall and we look forward to getting back to work in earnest. The budget process begins with the town departments and the Board of Education compiling their budgets in January. All of this leads to the budget being submitted to a town meeting in April and a referendum in May.

Work continues to restore the chimney at Town Hall.

Our prayers go out to the family of Annette Norton, Easton’s oldest resident who passed away on Christmas Eve at the age of 103.

For those who enjoy hockey, all have been invited, as neighbors in Easton to attend college hockey games at Sacred Heart. Information can be found at: https://offer.fevo.com/shu-hockey-black-friday-exclusive--629a03a?fevoUri=shu-hockey-black-friday-exclusive--629a03a%2F

From all of us at Town Hall we wish you a Happy and Healthy New Year. See you in 2024!

Dave
