Drive-by Vandalism Tops Redding Police Blotter For First Week Of May

Drive-by vandalism and a deer collision were atop the Redding Police Department's blotter for April 29 through May 5, 2024.

REDDING, CT — Drive-by vandalism, a deer collision and some fender benders were atop the Redding Police Department's blotter for April 29 through May 5, 2024.

On May 1, a motorist struck a parked and unoccupied vehicle in the parking lot of Meadow Ridge senior living facility at 100 Redding Road/Route 107. No injuries were reported.

A motorist struck and killed a deer that ran onto Black Rock Turnpike/Route 58 near Pine Tree Road and the Easton town line on May 2. No humans were injured.

No one was hurt on May 4 when the trajectory of a vehicle taking a sharp curve along North Park Avenue ended with it atop the guardrail.

The same day, a Side Cut Road resident complained to police that someone had just thrown a rock through the front window of her residence and drove off. The complainant was unable to get a plate or a description of the vehicle.
