Driver Asleep At The Wheel Crashes In Redding: Police
The car hit a pile of rocks, a pole, and ended up upside down.
REDDING, CT —A 23-year-old man fell asleep at the wheel and crashed his car on Sunday morning, according to police.
The accident occurred while the man was traveling southbound on Route 58 near Silversmith Lane, when he "drifted off of the right side of the road, then struck a pile of rocks, utility pole and an embankment, eventually rolling over onto the roof," according to Redding Police Chief Mark O'Donnell.
The driver, who has not been charged, was taken to Danbury Hospital where he was treated for minor injuries.
