Driver Hospitalized After Rollover Crash In Weston

The crash temporarily closed a section of Broad Street Wednesday morning, according to fire officials.

WESTON, CT — One person was hospitalized after a vehicle rolled over and landed on its side off a Weston road Wednesday morning, according to fire officials.

Weston police, fire and EMS responded around 7:43 a.m. Aug. 19 to Broad Street near Crystal Lake Drive for a reported rollover crash with entrapment.

Arriving firefighters found a single vehicle on its side off the roadway, according to the Weston Volunteer Fire Department. The vehicle's sole occupant was able to get out without assistance.

The driver was taken by Weston EMS to an area hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening, fire officials said.

Broad Street was closed for about an hour and a half as crews responded to the crash. All emergency units were back in service by 9:15 a.m., according to the department.
