Drug Take Back Day Set In Weston — Here’s What To Know

Residents can safely dispose of unused or expired prescription medications during the upcoming event.

WESTON, CT — Residents will have a chance to safely dispose of unused or expired prescription medications later this month as part of a national take-back event, police said.

The Weston Police Department will participate in the DEA’s National Prescription Drug Take Back Day on April 25, according to officials.

The event will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the police department’s upper lobby, located across from the Weston Public Library entrance.

Officials said the program provides a safe and convenient way for residents to dispose of unwanted medications, helping prevent misuse and protect the environment.

The following items will be accepted:

  • Prescription medications
  • Pills, capsules and tablets

The following items will not be accepted:

  • Needles or sharps
  • Liquids
  • Illegal drugs

Residents can drop off medications anonymously, with no questions asked, police said.
