Easton Election 2021 Profile: Wendy Bowditch

Patch contacted candidates to answer questions about their campaigns.

Republican Wendy Bowditch, 63, is running for Board Of Finance in Easton.

The single biggest issue in town is ______, and I plan to do this about it:

Keeping fiscal responsibility as a focus in budget preparations. Maintaining civility in town government.

Critical differences between me and my opponents:

I have had experience in a few positions in town. The treasurer's position gave me the unique opportunity to see the town and budget in detail. I know the department heads and I know how the budgets and debt service work and I have a good working relationship with boards and commissions.

Accomplishments:

I had a very successful financial career that allowed me the opportunity to retire at 62. This gives me the flexibility to focus on the town budget and spending. We are facing some critical expenses including a bigger percentage of the Barlow budget. I have the knowledge and desire to make sure we do the right things.

What else would you like voters to know about you?

I look forward to serving on the Board of Finance with a voice. For years as treasurer I attended many meetings where I could speak but not vote. I hope to do the right thing by Easton citizens and keep taxes in check.
