Easton First Selectman Bindelglass Honors Noreen Forde
Easton First Selectman Dr. David Bindelglass Presents Teal Woman Pin to Local Ovarian Cancer Survivor
Almost 22,000 women are diagnosed with ovarian cancer in the United States every year, and about 14,000 lose their lives; and each year during September, women living with ovarian cancer, their families and supporters, along with patient advocacy organizations, come together to raise awareness about ovarian cancer and celebrate national Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month.
Town of Easton First Selectman Dr. David Bindelglass issued a Proclamation in support of Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month and presented it to Easton resident Noreen Forde, who is an ovarian cancer survivor. Bindelglass also gave Forde her official Clearity #Teal Woman lapel pin. Forde is among 400 women honored by Clearity this year.
Forde lives in town with her husband Gerry and two sons, one a senior at Joel Barlow and one a senior at Assumption University. She is involved with the nonprofit organization mentioned in Bindelglass's proclamation, Clearity of San Diego.
