Easton K-9 Officer Brings Home The Gold

EASTON, CT — Easton's K-9 officer was named best in a very elite show.
Easton K-9 TJ, alongside his handler Officer Tamra French, won first prize in the 2024 Hometown Heroes Grant Giveaway, garnering 11,702 votes, and $5,000 in prize money.
The Hometown Foundation, Inc., which awards the grants, received 23 applications from police K-9 units from 10 different states across the country. The charitable organization is granting a total of $12,000 to the top three K-9 Units.

K-9 units were encouraged to submit an application in January, with voting running through the end of February. The first vote is free and additional votes cost $1 with every dollar raised to benefit The Hometown Foundation’s Police K-9 Program.
The charity's Police K-9 Program supports law enforcement agencies in need by donating fully equipped, single and dual purpose K-9s, training and equipment. Since the program’s inception in 2017, The Hometown Foundation has donated over 60 K-9s to law enforcement agencies in 14 different states.
