Easton Man Sentenced For Sexual Abuse Of Child

An Easton man has been sentenced for producing photographs and videos of his sexual abuse of a young child.

EASTON, CT — An Easton man has been sentenced for producing photographs and videos of his sexual abuse of a young child.

According to court documents and statements made in court, Robert McGuire, 42, repeatedly sexually abused a prepubescent child and took photographs and videos of the sexual assaults between February 2019 and June 2020. The investigation also revealed that McGuire sexually assaulted a second prepubescent child on at least one occasion. The state charges against McGuire are pending.

A judge in Hartford sentenced McGuire to 30 years of imprisonment, followed by a lifetime term of supervised release.

McGuire has been detained since his arrest by the Easton Police Department on related state charges on July 10, 2020. On June 8, 2021, he pleaded guilty in federal court to one count of production of child pornography.
