Police are warning area residents to lock all vehicles and take the keys inside at night following the theft of two vehicles.

EASTON, CT — Police are warning area residents to lock all vehicles and take the keys inside at night following the theft of vehicles on the Monday overnight.

One was later located through an onboard GPS tracker. That vehicle is currently being processed for evidence, according to the Easton Police Department.

"Make sure to do the '9 p.m.' routine, where you lock all vehicles and doors to your house at 9 p.m. every night, which creates a habit of doing so," police officials advised on social media.
