Easton Sets Drive-Thru Distribution Event For COVID-19 Tests

EASTON, CT — The town will be handing out free COVID-19 self-tests and masks on Monday, Jan. 3, at Samuel Staples Elementary School.

The first-come, first-served drive-thru event will start at 6 p.m. Cars may begin lining up on Morehouse Road from the south (coming up from Beers Road) after 5:00 p.m. so as not to interfere with the school buses. Cars arriving before 5:00 p.m. will be turned away.

Two kits will be available to each car while supplies last. An ID with proof of Easton residency will be required to receive a kit.

Town health officials are encouraging only those exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms to receive a test kit.
